VERO BEACH, Fla., April 16, 2018 — With spring comes longer days, warmer weather and, of course, puppy season! During this time, puppies become prevalent and many pet owners find themselves in search of good homes for their new, furry friends. Studio Gabriel Salon & Spa and Katwalk Boutique owner Christine Walker hopes to do just that now that she and her beloved Labrador retriever Skye recently welcomed seven purebred puppies into their home.
Walker plans to kick off her search with a puppy preview at Katwalk Boutique during the store’s Sunset Stretch & Save yoga event at 7:00 p.m. on April 26. Since she expects the lively additions to draw in plenty of potential puppy parents, she encourages guests who would like to participate in the complimentary yoga session to register by 6:45 p.m., as class size is limited.
Walker, who joined Vero Beach Dog Park’s board of directors earlier this year, will donate 100 percent of the puppy proceeds to help support the park, which covers five acres of green space for dog lovers and their canine companions to roam and frolic year round. The dog park relies solely on community funding from sponsors like Walker for maintenance and daily operations.
“My dogs and I frequent the Vero Beach Dog Park, and donating the proceeds to the park is one way for me give back to the community in an area that is important to me,” said Walker. “Since the money being donated will come from the sale of Skye’s puppies, it only seems fair that it goes to something she enjoys as well.”
